About This

• Most cut-off wheels fall into two extremes: ultra-thin .040" discs that cut fast but break easily, or thick 1/8" wheels that last forever but cut slowly. At .063" wheel sits right in the middle — fast enough for clean, efficient cuts, yet thick enough to resist cracking when you hit rough material or need to make a slight adjustment in the cut.
• If you've ever had an ultra-thin wheel shatter halfway through a cut — or bind and explode when you look at it wrong — you'll appreciate this 1.6mm thickness. The added material gives you a wider margin for error. Does your workpiece shift mid-cut? Need to make a slight angle correction? This wheel won't punish you like a .040" disc would.
• 1.6mm is thicker than .040", yes. But compared to standard 1/8" (3.2mm) cutting wheels, this is still a thin wheel. You'll notice the difference immediately — less resistance, less heat, less melted-looking edges on coated metals. Think of it as a thin wheel that doesn't treat you like a robot with perfect technique.
• Some bulk packs mix wheels from different production runs — one wheel lasts 50 cuts, the next lasts 12. Every wheel in your 20-pack comes from the same batch, with the same abrasive-to-resin ratio and the same curing profile. Wheel #20 performs like wheel #1. Predictable. Reliable.
